From the Boardroom to the Battlefield of Faith

In 2025, Gary Smith founded Lion Leadership, Inc., an organization dedicated to guiding men to align their lives with Jesus Christ. The goal of Lion Leadership is to empower men to pursue God's purpose for their lives in the areas of faith, family, fitness, finance, and friends.

Prior to founding Lion Leadership, Gary founded Gary L. Smith, LLC, a consulting and life/financial coaching firm dedicated to helping businesses and individuals build secure and profitable futures. As a result of his consulting connections, Gary was led by God into the men's ministry arena, where he is now dedicating the rest of his life to teaching men to lead effectively in their homes, their churches, and in the marketplace.

A Career Built on Leading Others

Throughout his diverse business career, Gary has consulted with and presented to people around the world — from developing a global technology plan for an international medical corporation, to teaching strategic planning to a church board, to leading team-building seminars and executive time-management training. Gary creates an atmosphere of passion and enthusiasm, combined with caring and insight, as he leads people to a new level of desire and equips them with the tools to succeed.

Gary spent 25 years in manufacturing — 12 in engineering disciplines, 13 running multi-million dollar organizations — before founding a business consulting firm in 1998 (later renamed Gary L. Smith, LLC). He worked as a consultant, life coach, and financial coach for 27 years before starting Lion Leadership.

Faith & Family

Gary grew up in a Christian home and accepted Christ as his savior at age 20. His entire career has been shaped by his faith and a desire to help people discover and achieve their God-given purpose. Gary has been married to his wife, Marty, for over 50 years. They have three grown daughters and seven grandchildren.
