The Five Pillars

God created you to be a leader

Faith, Family, Fitness, Finances, and Friends — five foundational, progressive pillars for the man God created you to be.

God created you to be a leader. Many men don't understand this mandate, but scripture is clear that God made man to be the head — the leader. Unfortunately, too many men have never been taught — mentored — in the process of understanding and learning what Godly leadership is. As a result, American society is in decline because men have abdicated their role as leaders.

Lion Leadership is based on 5 foundational, progressive pillars: Faith, Family, Fitness, Finances, and Friends. These are not just foundational to living an effective Christian life — they are building blocks any man can use, step by step, to become the man — the leader — God created him to be.

The time is now! The person is YOU. Step in! Step up! Engage! Be bold as a lion!

Pillar 01

Faith

Faith is the first step in the process — the pillar that supports all the others. Without a solid foundation in Christian faith, every other pillar is at risk of failure.

  • Most men take their relationship with Christ casually — seldom reading or studying scripture
  • Only 30% of men who claim to be Christians attend a Bible-based church, and of that group, only 1 in 6 take part in any ministry initiative
  • Many men know ABOUT God without truly knowing God

The Pillar of Faith draws men into — or back into — a true, personal relationship with Jesus, until faith becomes the foundation for both who they are and everything they do.

Pillar 02

Family

The family is the most important unit in God's creation — where values are established, life skills are passed down, and the Gospel message begins. When Christ is placed at the head of the home, marriages heal, children grow with a strong foundation, and families become a blessing to others.

This pillar equips men to lead their families well — following Christ's example as they love, lead, teach, and give sacrificially to their wives and children.

Pillar 03

Fitness

This is not about five days a week at the gym chasing a ripped body. A man on mission for God — pursuing Christ, marriage, family, and ministry — needs energy. Scripture tells us our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

  • Understanding what your body needs
  • Getting appropriate exercise for sustained energy
  • Fueling your body properly, with adequate rest
  • Working with your doctor to address health concerns

Pillar 04

Finances

Financial issues cause some of the most brutal arguments in marriages. This pillar equips men to manage money wisely — not just budgeting and investing, but communication, conflict resolution, and getting husband and wife on the same page.

  • Understanding where you are financially — income, expenses, debt
  • Developing a plan to get out of debt, and the discipline to stick to it
  • Building wealth, planning for retirement, and learning to give generously

Pillar 05

Friends

Modern culture has lied to men, telling them they're alone — “if it is to be, it is up to me” is a lie straight from the pit of hell. God created men to live in community. Isolation kills; community builds.

  • Building trust and long-term relationships
  • Mentoring and being mentored
  • Realizing your struggles are not uncommon

This pillar builds a close-knit community through Facebook Live events, small group engagement, online and in-person gatherings, and long-term relationships.
